CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

“Every child is a different kind of flower and all together makes this world a beautiful garden.”

November 14 is celebrated as Children’s Day or Bal Diwas every year in India. The special day is celebrated in remembrance of India’s first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru, born on November 14, 1889, he was also known as Pandit Nehru. Nehru, who was fondly called Chacha Nehru or simply Chachaji, was very popular amongst children for his love. November 14 marks Nehru’s devotion to welfare, education and development of children and young people.

A day marking childhood ,and to make this event a memorable for our little ones, Al Qalam International School , Perungulam celebrated Children’s Day on 18th November 2022 in the school premises. The day focused on children and their enjoyment. The day commemorated with immense joy , enthusiasm and magnificence. The tiny tots of our school came dressed up in casual clothes. The celebrations began with the Morning Prayer, followed by variety of fun filled activities and programs by the teachers for their children. The teachers made Children’s Day special for their children by involving them into various cultural programs.

National Education Day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first education minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. He was a key educationist who played an important role in developing the education system in independent India.

Ministry of Human Resource Development on September 11, 2008, decided to mark the birth anniversary of Maulana Azad by celebrating National Education Day on November 11, every year. “The Ministry has decided to commemorate the birthday of this great son of India by recalling his contribution to the cause of education in India,” reads the HRD Ministry announcement.
Azad during his tenure in the Education Ministry promoted research in eastern learning and literature and set up the three academies to develop the fine arts. He also started the work on the compilation of technical terms in Hindi on a large scale.

The first education minister of Independent India, Maulana Abul Kalam also contributed to the establishment of educational institutes like Jamia Millia Islamia and IIT Kharagpur. Congratulations 🎈🎊🎉

Hats off.

Our school celebrated the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as National Unity Day on 31 October 2022.
Children actively participated in the Ekta Diwas. The energetic children were involved in several activities like Students chain for unity, singing of National Anthem and the day was also marked by administration of pledge in Tamil and English by teachers and students.
The basic idea is to enable students to appreciate the value of synergic effort rather than individual effort so that students go back to the society as ambassadors of unity, peace and safety.
