SEXUAL HARASSMENT COMMITTEE (SHC)

AL QALAM INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL is committed to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students and staff. In alignment with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, the school has established a Sexual Harassment Committee (SHC).

Purpose:

The SHC is responsible for preventing and addressing sexual harassment within the school community.

Responsibilities:

• Receiving and investigating complaints of sexual harassment.
• Providing support and counseling to complainants.
• Taking appropriate disciplinary action against those found guilty of sexual harassment.
• Conducting awareness programs and training sessions on sexual harassment prevention.

Reporting Sexual Harassment:

Any individual who experiences or witnesses sexual harassment is encouraged to report the incident to any of the following:

• Principal
• Member of the SHC
• School Counselor
• School Anti-Bullying Coordinator

All reports will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and sensitivity.

Prevention and Awareness:

The school maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment. Regular workshops, seminars, and awareness programs are conducted for students, staff, and parents to promote a culture of respect and equality.
